According to Scouting Ireland, the program has been designed so that every Scout is responsible for their Personal Journey/experience of Scouting and plays a hand in designing and planning that journey. The Personal Journey ideal draws a young person to learn, acquire knowledge and develop while participating in the Scout program. The program follows a simple process PLAN, DO, REVIEW. Programs are planned, activities are executed and the whole process is reviewed. Once a young person has been invested as a Beaver Scout, they will be eligible to be awarded badges earned by taking part in the Beaver program. Beaver Scout Investiture Progress Award/ Stage Badges There are also 9 Adventure Skill badges with 9 levels of ability. Air Activity Skills For younger members of the section participating weekly, and on activities will allow them to earn a certain number of annual badges. For older members who are more willing to explore the program further, they can undertake Special Interest Badges in their own time with the help of parents, and on completion of agreed criteria that badge will be awarded. Beavers are allowed camp outdoors, to-date this has been a great success.
